The highly publicized romance between Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal has come to an end, and so quickly.  The tactful and compassionate Jake Gyllenhaal ended things with Swift right before the holidays to ensure that Taylor enjoyed a memorable and glorious Christmas and New Year’s.  NOT!  The jerk broke up with her right before the holidays because he ‘just wasn’t feeling it’ according to US Weekly.

The couple seemed happy as they spent Thanksgiving together, however appearances can be deceiving as it was shortly thereafter that the two split.  Gyllenhaal commented that he was uncomfortable with all the media attention they received, and that he was beginning to really feel the age difference between them as Gyllenhaal is 29 and Swift is only 21.

Sources indicate that Swift is devastated about the break up as the couple spent New Year’s apart.  The source also indicated that Swift had been warned about going to fast in the relationship, but just wouldn’t listen.
