A new study by Kaiser Permanente shows that those who want to lose at least 10 pounds have a better chances of reaching their goal if they have get a good night’s sleep. Researchers followed 500 subjects and found that those who had lower stress levels, but who also got at least six hours of shuteye per night, but not more than eight, were the most likely to lose weight and be healthier.

“We found that people who got more than six but less than eight hours of sleep, and who reported the lowest levels of stress, had the most success in a weight-loss program,” said study author Dr. Charles Elder, according to USA Today.
