Sunday’s Grammy Awards to Feature Stellar Performances

This year’s Grammy Awards is set to deliver a wide array of top performances from artists such as Eminem, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber.

The Grammys are nearly here, and the list of the night’s performers keeps on growing. According to MTV News, there are already sixteen highly anticipated performances on the list. Hip Hop Detroit Rapper Eminem is nominated for 10 Grammys, more than any other artist this year, including Album of the year for Recovery which, according to Forbes, he is likely to win. He will be performing alongside fellow rapper Dr. Dre, in what will be his first live performance in years, according to Rapfix on MTV.

Starlets Katy Perry and Lady Gaga are also set to rock the stage on Sunday. Gaga will be singing her newly released song, “Born this Way.” Rihanna and Drake will sing their duo, and Justin Bieber, Jaden Smith and Usher will hit the stage together. It won’t be just newbie artists that will be performing at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Barbra Streisand, Bob Dylan with Mumford &Sons and Avett Brothers, and Mick Jagger will all be bringing a lot of experience to their performances on Sunday night.

Another performance that is creating a lot of buzz is the tribute to Aretha Franklin that will be sung by Christina Aguilera, Martina McBride, Jennifer Hudson, Florence Welch and Yolanda Adams. In fact, according to a poll conducted by MTV, this performance is the one that voters are anticipating the most. Other performers due to appear on stage are Cee Lo Green, Gwyneth Paltrow and the Muppets, Lady Antebellum, Muse, and Arcade Fire, Miranda Lambert and Esperanza Spalding. There are also rumors circulating that Britney Spears might perform according to MTV.
