AT&T Strives to Stay Competitive with Unlimited Mobile to Mobile Plan

AT&T has been feeling the crunch lately, and its offers just keep rolling in. It is now offering unlimited voice plans to any Network on National and Family Plans, according to an AT&T press release.

“Go ahead and dial up those digits–no matter which wireless network you’re calling,” says AT&T.

Starting today, AT&T customers who are on an unlimited messaging and select Nation or Family plans will be able to activate this service dubbed the “Any Mobile Number Plan”. It will allow them to call a number on any carrier or receive calls without using up their minutes, according to Digital Trends.

“Mobile to Any Mobile is an exciting offer that will keep our customers connected to the people they want to talk to, when they want to talk to them, without the hassle of watching minutes,” said David Christopher of AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets according to the AT&T  Press Release. “We’re giving customers more options and even better value. And when you include Rollover Minutes, a benefit available exclusively from AT&T that lets customers keep their unused minutes for all domestic calls, including to landline numbers, it’s clear that AT&T offers the most flexibility in the industry.”

The current unlimited messaging runs for $20 a month and the family plan for $30 a month. With this unlimited voice calls offer, AT&T will follow Sprint which has already been offering unlimited calling to any network since September of 2009 for $69.99 including unlimited text, video and picture messaging mobile data and GPS and 450 anytime minutes to landlines, according to Fiercewireless.

Last week, AT&T also announced improvement in its tethering capabilities and began discreetly offering some of its Iphone users, unlimited plans, according to The Wall Street Journal.
