Celine Dion Returns to Las Vegas with New Show

After performing over 700 times in the past decade at Las Vegas’ Caesar’s Palace, Celine Dion is back in Sin City with a new show that will feature her entire family, including her new baby boys, Eddy and Nelson, reports CNN.

“I’ve been an open book all of my life,” she said Tuesday to People Magazine. “There is no way for me to come back here and not share my most precious thing.”

“The world knows I just had two more beautiful babies,” Dion added. “If I come here and I don’t sing a lullaby or do not show one picture with my family, I think it’s going to be missing something. I love to share my private life.”

A lot is riding on five Celine Dion’s return to struggling Vegas, which a recent report shows is lagging in real estate value, is decreasing in visitors, has experienced a  2.5 percent drop in the Strip gaming revenue, and is facing an unemployment rate of 13.4 percent, reports USA Today.

As of now, all of Dion’s shows for March are sold out, and Caesar’s Palace is thrilled, “This past year Celine has been enjoying some valuable family time and now that she’s been able to enjoy this time off, she’s getting ready to return to Las Vegas in 2011, with a brand-new spectacular show. Celine has always been a pioneer when it comes to creating groundbreaking concert performances and this next adventure promises to be the best ever! If Dion’s last series of shows, which ended in 2007 and grossed over $400 million at an average ticket price of $135.33, are any indication, the Caesar’s Palace and all of Las Vegas have a good reason to smile again.
