The console sells for a bargain ($99 for brand new) and less for used systems, and new games are still coming out. Sony continues to manufacture consoles and games and is predicting high sales for the rest of the fiscal year.

Playstation 2 continues to find an audience even with the advent of PlayStation 3, which has been out for five years now. It even outsells PlayStation’s portable hand Helds, according to Tech Watch.
