Bill Ray Cyrus taped an episode of “The View” yesterday where he said that he called off his divorce, improved his relationship with his daughter, and set the record straight about Disney and Hannah Montana.

“I would love to set the record straight,” Cyrus said in the interview due to air on Friday. “I love Hannah Montana. I love Disney. I love our fans who’ve been with us throughout this whole show. This has been an incredible journey…Now fame, fame is a different animal.” He recently told GQ that the show had torn his family apart.

Cyrus said that he renounced to divorce to his wife, Trish and things in his family are “really the best they’ve ever been.” Last October, he and his wife issued a joint statement announcing plans to end their 17-year marriage, reports USA Today.

He added that good communication was what brought his family back together, “Communication, I think, is one of the biggest problems that we as human beings have in this whole world,” he added, “and I think for the first time me and my entire family are finally communicating with each other…” according to E! Online.

As for his relationship with his daughter, Cyrus said, “I feel like I kind of got my Miley back in a way. I feel like we are the daddy and the daughter that we were before Hannah Montana happened. Our communication, we have laughed a lot in the last couple of days,” reports People Magazine.

Their closeness was also visible when recent pictures of a stumbling Miley came out and the media said she was “drunk.” According to Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley called him after the incident telling him “there’s some stuff about a picture and they said I was drunk’ and she said ‘Daddy, I wasn’t I had a meeting with Dr. Luke.”

She continued telling him, “there were so many paparazzi that she said ‘I couldn’t see Daddy’ and ‘they were flashing’ …’I held my hand up to block the flashes out of my eyes because I couldn’t see to take a step…’It was a lie. I wasn’t drinking. I wasn’t drunk. I was just trying to get to my car after a meeting,’ she added according to Radar online.
