OnLive Launches All You Can Play Video Games

The streaming video game service OnLive announced that it will now offer 38 games as all you can play for the monthly fee of $9.99 according to USA Today.

“Now players have the option to blaze through a bunch of amazing titles that they may have missed the first time around or dig deep into one immersive world at a time,” says John Spinale, OnLive vice president of games and media, in a statement.

Video gamers will now be able to access many games at once and not have to order a few games at a time, like they are accustomed to with other platforms that offer video game rentals through the mail. Although the selection is not as wide as these mail services, customers will be able to play whenever they want and with no time limit, according to PCmag. OnLive said that it would add more games as they got more feedback and suggestions from consumers.

Some games that will be included according to PCmag are: World of Goo, SAW, Tropico3, LEGO Batman, F.E.A.R 2: Project Origin, Frontlines, Defense Grid Gold, Evil Genius, Titan Quest, NBA 2K10, King’s Bounty, Bioshock, Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance, Tomb Raider: Underworld, Unreal Tournament and many others.

Although these games will be available in a cloud service, which means that clients won’t have to purchase video game consoles in order to enjoy the games, or can watch them for free. They can use their money on games instead of doling out hundreds of dollars to buy expensive consoles. They can just use their PC, which needs a dual-core processor or even purchase the OnLive Game System for $99 and can hook it up to any TV set.
