Teen Star Demi Lovato Thanks Fans for Support

In her first official appearance since leaving rehab for ‘emotional and physical issue,’ Demi Lovato thanked her fans for standing by her during what she called her “the darkest point” in her life.

In a video posted on cambio.com, 18-year-old Lovato opened up to her fans, and thanked them for supporting her and bringing her “light into her life.” I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you. Your support is what got me through,” she said according to People Magazine.

Last November, the ‘Sonny with a Chance’ star left her South American tour with the Jonas brothers after reportedly punching a backup dancer during a flight. She checked herself into rehab soon after.

“The journey that I’ve been on has been very, very difficult over the past few months. I was dealing with issues that I know not just girls my age, but of all ages are dealing with. I hope one day to raise awareness of everything so that I can help people in the same way you guys helped me through this rough time,” she said in the video reports the Post Chronicle.

She also added that she was excited to get back to work, and getting the chance to thank her fans in person. “I wanted to let you guys know that I’m excited to get back to work and I can’t wait to tell you what the future holds. I can’t wait to see you guys in person and thank you all individually. I love you all and I couldn’t have done this without you,” she said according to MTV News.

Lovato didn’t reveal exact details about when she would start working again. Soon after she left rehab in the end of January, Disney said, “Demi’s management will inform us when she is able to return to work,” reports Monsterandcritics.
