Justin Bieber’s Keeps 17th Birthday Bash Low key

Justin Bieber celebrated his 17th birthday yesterday. Having released four chart topping albums, singles and a concert movie about his career, he has accomplished more than most people ever will in their lifetime.

Unlike many teens his age, Justin Bieber wanted to keep his birthday mellow and laidback. “I’m probably just going to chill for my birthday,” the 17-year-old singer said during a Monday radio interview on Sirius XM’s The Morning Mash Up, according to US Magazine. “No party or anything. I just want to relax. I have four days off; I want to chill.” He added that he wouldn’t be having any home-cooked meals for his birthday, “My mom doesn’t cook. She’s awful at cooking…But my Grandma cooks. Hopefully she makes me cheesecake for my birthday.” He reportedly flew in his grandmother to LA for the occasion.

Instead of eating in, he headed to Maggiano’s in Little Italy with girlfriend, Selena Gomez reports Celebuzz where they were seen leaving in Bieber’s purple car. He was wearing a blue satin baseball jacket, while Gomez, 18, was wearing a black coat.

In an earlier birthday getaway this week, the New York Daily News reports that the young couple spent Saturday night in a penthouse suite at the St. Regis Monarch Beach in Dana Point, California. They had dinner at the hotel’s Stonehill Tavern and spent some time on the beach. A source told US magazine that they were “affectionate, cuddling and holding hands.” Another source revealed that they didn’t have any bodyguards or parents with them, but that emergency numbers for a bodyguard were left at the front desk of the hotel in case of an emergency.

Bieber also asked that he didn’t get any presents for his birthday. Instead he encouraged fans and friends to donate money to charity: Water that helps provide clean water in the developing world. The drive is ongoing, and he has already raised over $45,000 for the nonprofit.   Feed your Bieber fever at Amazon’s Justin Bieber store.
