Spring Season is Also Ant Season

It’s April; flowers are blooming, the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, but this also means that ants are coming. Ants are the number one nuisance in America, and homeowners are finding it increasingly difficult to get rid of them. Between April and August, ant colonies flourish everywhere; leading ants to swarm homes and anywhere else they can find viable food sources.

The National Pest Control Management Association celebrates the National Pest Management Month every April and has many recommendations to prevent pest infestation. Homeowners should among many things; seal up cracks and openings along the foundation of the house, get rid of any sources of moisture, move branches and plants away from the house, keep kitchens clean, keep all food containers sealed, screen all doors and windows, and avoid leaving pet food out for long periods of time.

If there is any sign of ants, homeowners should contact a pest control professional right away or do it themselves using an insect trap such as the Terro 300 pre-filled liquid ant killer. Products such as these are an easy and effective do-it-yourself method to remove ants from the home. The bait stations are already pre-filled and avoid you the inconvenience of having to handle chemicals. There are no spills or drips, and no mess while eliminating all kinds of household ants.

The Terro 300 is an effective insect trap killer that eliminates an entire colony indoors and out. “I’ve tried every brand of ant bait and these are the only ones that the ants actually take. Every other brand that I’ve tried, the ants just walk right around the bait. With this one, they start eating it within one hour and by three hours; there are several lines of ants taking the bait. Within 24 hours, they’re all gone,” says a customer.

Another reviewer says that using the insect bait trap beat having to use the local pest control company, “I have had carpenter ant problem since I bought my house. I have spent hundreds of dollars paying the local pesticide company to get rid of them only to see them back. Besides being costly, I wasn’t thrilled to have to vacate my house while it was being sprayed. I also felt that using the pesticides wasn’t exactly a healthy thing to do.”

Some other reviewers weren’t too thrilled with the fact that it sometimes took a long time for the ants to die, “I read the reviews and hope it will work after 2 days. But now it is the 6th days, it just attracts more ants from outside into the house and then they spread all over the room and didn’t take the bait.”
