Lenovo Releases Tablet Laptop Hybrid: IdeaPad U1

A new tablet product has hit the market, and right before the CES 2011 commences.  Its a laptop tablet hybrid that offers a dual functioning option for users who want the tablet for entertainment and the laptop for work.  This new savvy device is called the IdeaPad U1 computer.

According to the production manager at Lenovo, they were attempting to fill a gap for a product that can balance several aspects of use out for consumers who want to listen to music, watch videos, read ebooks, surf the web, and play games, as well as have a robust laptop platform to be able to do work as well.  Its much more powerful than a netbook, has the innovation and sophistication of a tablet, and is not as bulky or cumbersome as a traditional laptop.

The tablet portion of the device is named the LePad, and is designed for users who thrive from a modern mobile lifestyle, and features 3G connectivity, the Android operating system, and a Snapdragon chip to round out the devices platform.  The LePad provides a 10″ touch screen, a front facing camera for video chatting, and weighs in at less than two pounds.  The LePad has 8 hours of battery life, and combines with teh IdeaPad U1 to deliver the most flexible, convenient, and cutting edge computer tablet hybrid around.
