“The Social Network” Wins Big at Golden Globes

It is safe to say that The Social Network was the favorite at the Golden Globes on Sunday, as they walked away with four of the biggest awards of the night, including: Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Original Score, and Best Picture.  The cast was enthusiastic and jovial all evening, and seemed more than pleased to be in the spotlight for nearly all of the evening.

The movie is about the founding of Facebook, and the virtually overnight success of Mark Zuckerberg, who transformed the way we communicate with each other as a society.  The film was about more than Zuckerberg, it was about the role that communication plays in our lives, and profound effect modes of communication have on us all.

Being the Golden Globe Golden Child for 2011, we’re quite certain that the beloved Social Network film will get a new and rejuvenated boost to their fan base which is sure to surge again after all the fanfare of the awards ceremony.  I for one had no interest in seeing the film before watching the awards, and am now rather excited about it.  I’m quite certain I’m not alone in my change of heart towards the film.
